Back in February, Google released Latitude for most of the mobile platforms (including Android, Blackberry, Symbian S60, and Windows Mobile) out there. But the biggest question to date has been where is it for the iPhone?!

The iPhone is the biggest and fastest selling smartphone to date. Google has been awesome at customizing and extending their services for iPhone users, but has majorly slacked at updating their Google Mobile App for the iPhone to allow all the iPhone users to take advantage of Latitude.  

Since Google has been hush hush about the update and all they have on their mobile site is “coming soon”. Is there bigger plans for Latitude on the iPhone? Do you think it will be integrated in the Google Maps App instead of an update to Google Mobile App like some rumors have been talking about?

We all hope Latitude will be here very soon for the iPhone. It just can’t happen soon enough in my opinion. This new Google service has potential to change our lives!

Google, we just want to know what is going on with it for the iPhone! Give us some clues!

The Apple iPhone 3G! I LOVE IT! Except the battery sucks! – from my experience, the 3G will kill the battery, I had to turn it off in the settings.

Except for the battery sucking, this is absolutely the best mobile device I have ever used! Apple has surely raised the bar on mobile devices!

I spent all night in front of the Apple Store in Durham, NC at the Streets of Southpoint. I arrived around 10:30 p.m. and became the 2nd person in line for the night! YES!  The first person was going to be a freshman in college his year, and he was also the first in line at the same store for the original iPhone launch. He could have not been anymore excited than myself to get his hands on the 16GB white iPhone 3G. I decided to go with black to keep the white plastic from changing colors because of the dirt. Although, I did want the white one!  

After sitting all night, the store opened at 8 a.m. with a lot of enthusiasm. We were the first new iPhone customers to enter the store. Well, at least he thought he was going to be one of them.

As he was going through the AT&T setup, the computer told him he needs to go to the AT&T store to get his new iPhone 3G. He was rejected by the Apple Store from purchasing the new iPhone. He didn’t have a business plan. Come to find out, I think he had a corporate discount applied to his current plan which made AT&T think it was a business customer. I ran into this same problem and had to call AT&T and get the FAN removed. Once it was removed, the process worked like a charm. I am now an iPhone 3G owner – Black 16GB.

Unfortunately, the first person in line didn’t get his iPhone after waiting from 10:30 at night till 8 the next morning. If this was myself, I would have been one mad customer.

A couple of the news stations were there along with a group of students from Savannah Art College. I ran across their video on Youtube about the first person in line getting rejected from getting his iPhone 3G.

Today I noticed Apple has just updated their online store very secretly to reflect the status of the 8GB and 16GB iPhone. They now are currently unavailable! We all know iPhone 2.0 is coming out very soon but no exact dates. I tried to get some info out of the lady from Apple’s online chat, but nothing good came out of it! Here is our short little conversation. 

She kept telling me she does not have any info?! Who believes her? So I kept trying!

Well, it looks like my Apple chat was totally not successfull. I wasn’t good enough to get any further information out of her!

iPhone 2.0 is here and excitement is building! All we need now is a set in stone date!

Only a few months to go and the iPhone will be the best mobile device ever created! You ask why isn’t it already?

Apple has locked down the phone since it was first released for developers not to create or install applications on the phone “legally”. March 6th was the day that changed it for developers. Since the SDK (software development kit) release, developers across the world have been downloading like mad. Only 4 days into the release, 100,000 downloads of the SDK have been recorded. The video of the town hall meeting on March 6th has been viewed 1,000,000 times! These numbers really display the excitement in everyone!

Now as far as myself as a consumer, I can’t hold back my excitement until iPhone 2.0 in June. I have always thought it wasn’t a phone, just a really small tiny computer in the palm of my hand at every sec of the day (and I mean literally every sec of the day). Once I am able to download the first application in June, it will become the greatest handheld device ever made!
